Would you take slimming pills to reduce weight?
When I had a proper job, my colleagues suggested I try slimming pills. Yes, I was obviously overweight (still am, but not that bad nowadays. The culprit was Ma Huang, a Chinese herb. Natural does not mean safe. Ma Huang (ephedra) was linked to acute liver failure. Many slimming products then contained ephedra as it is extremely effective in shedding off the pounds. Since then, products containing ephedra were yanked off the market.

The Ma Huang scare put me off slimming pills. Instead I chose to go the slow but safe route of diet and exercise. This looked good to me: Lose 10 lbs. in 5 weeks with eDiets, so I went for it.

I had much better results with Billy's BootCamp Elite. After the first workout, my husband said I looked much better. I stuck with it for 6 weeks and the tape measure doesn't lie. I lost an inch off my waist. Weight didn't budge much but muscles are heavier than fat and they burn more calories. To me, Billy Blanks is the way to go.

Fair enough. Slim 10 that caused liver failure came from China. The safety standards of a USA lab that is FDA-certified is very much higher. Still, one cannot be too careful.
